We’ve really enjoyed our Sun odyssey 440. It’s by far the most comfortable cruiser I’ve ever been on and it actually feels pretty sporty, which has been fun. We’ve raced it quite a bit and it performs respectably (as long as there’s enough wind). All in all, our family is really happy with it.

The wood veneer used inside the boat is very fragile and easily getting scratched. The wc hoses are low in quality and produces bad smell in the entire boat. We changed the hoses with high quality ones and the smell dissapeared. The aft cabins are extreamly low in height. The boat needs an option panel in front of the rudders and electronic throttle option. Quick windlass 1000 w is a bad choice. Lewmar or Lofrans minimum 1500 watts is needed. We had to change the motor of windlass because we use at Gocek and we have to anchor deep around 25 meters with 100+ meters of chain. Quick windlass is low in quality and fragile.

I have been using the boat about two years. First of all, the dealer in Turkey is wonderful. Whenever i needed support, they were there in a glimpse of an eye.
The boat is good overall but has a few points to be improved.
1. The aft cabins are too low comparing other boats. Toilet hoses are low quality. After 5 months, they started exhaling bad smell of toilette. I changed the hoses with thor and vetus brands. The smell disappeared and did not come back. 1000 Watt quick windlass is to weak an the elektrik motor is fragile. I would like to have an option of lewmar and/or lofrance as an option. The quality of fauces and shower material do not comply the expectation. Rusted very quickly, though no strong chemicals is used for cleaning.

The boat sails beautifully. Is very comfortable to stay on for extended periods. Only a few minor glitches. Would happily recommend this boat to others.
